I am scanning with ad-aware 6 for the first time and I received the following scan for possible removal.

- Cydoor RegKey Data Miner HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:SOFTWARE\Cydoor

- Alexa RegKey Data Miner HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Extensions\{c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a.

- Claria RegKey Data Miner HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE:SOFTWARE\Gator.com

I would like to know if this type of file is safe for removal.

To whom it may concern:

All these that you posted are spyware and should be deleted as soon as possible Make sure you update your ad-aware 6 and rescan with updates if you havent already

Anothing great free program for this is called SpyBot which also detects and erases spyware If you would like to check it out you can go to http://www.safer-networking.org/ to download the free program.
