I installed Lavasoft's Ad-Aware and scanned my files. It shows that Alexa key-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\internet explorer\extensions\{c95fe080-8f5d-11d2-a20b-00aa003c157a} has a suspicious key in the registry. How can I remove this? I back up my registry but have never changed anything in it - too chicken little. Thank you.

To whom it may concern:

You can manually erase this registry by going to start, then run In the run box type in REGEDIT, once the REGEDIT window comes up, navigate to that location and right click the registry key and click delete

Another program you can try which also removes any spyware it finds is SPYBOT You can get free adware removing program by going to security.kolla.de/ to download the program This scans for adware and removes anything thats harmful to your computer After you install the program download all the updates before you scan for any adware, after you scan you will be able to remove anything found.
