My DVD is not reading the disk that is insterted. The green light blinks but nothing else. I hear it trying to read it, but nothing happens. I have inserted the disk in a different computer and it works fine. What do I need to do to check if it is the DVD or the computer?

There is a possibility that the lens is dirty because of inserting a dirty DVD I have cleaned these manually by opening the drive and cleaning the lens with a Q-tip and alcohol This has solved the problem, from my experience 9 times out of 10 You can also purchase CD/DVD cleaners from any store that sells computers If not the drive could be broken or sticking on the bar that it traves on That can be fixed by manually slinding it from starting to ending point.
