I recently started getting Spyware and Adware popups, saying things like "your computer is infected with spyware". The popups came so fast, the open window limit was reached in seconds, and the computer freezes. I downloaded spybot search and destroy. It seemed to help a bit at first, but then back to the same problem. I then downloaded sygate firewall, which is a pain in the rump, and hasn't helped. Now, I still get the Spyware popups, the computer is dreadfully slow, AND I keep getting messages saying virtual memory is too low. I'm at a loss. Please help! I'm am basically computer illiterate, and I can't seem to solve the problem. Thanks

To whom it may concern:

If spybot helped the first time, it should help again.

This sounds to me like you have a virus that is affecting your system If you have an anti-virus program I would suggest updating the anti-virus then scan your system and delete any virus that you might have.

If you do not have a anti-virus program you may check if your computer has viruses for free at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ If the program finds any viruses it will NOT delete them due to it being a free scan, you must purchase their software If you see that you do have a virus it is advised to go out buy anti-virus software and eliminate any viruses from your computer.

Another thing you can try is to search your computer for adware which is simular to a virus You can get free adware removing program by going to security.kolla.de/ to download the program This scans for adware and removes anything thats harmful to your computer After you install the program download all the updates before you scan for any adware, after you scan you will be able to remove anything found.
