When I press the power button on my computer, it power up the hard drives. But the mouse, monitor and keyboard will not turn on. You can see the lights on the keyboard and my mouse turn on for a split second, but then nothing. Connections are good, everything is hooked up. Also I had a problem with my computer trying to connect to the internet. And I notice a couple of folders were gone.

To whom it may concern:

This sounds to me like you have a virus that is affecting your system If you have an anti-virus program I would suggest updating the anti-virus then scan your system and delete any virus that you might have.

If you do not have a anti-virus program you may check if your computer has viruses for free at http://housecall.trendmicro.com/ If the program finds any viruses it will NOT delete them due to it being a free scan, you must purchase their software If you see that you do have a virus it is advised to go out buy anti-virus software and eliminate any viruses from your computer.

Another thing you can try is to search your computer for adware which is simular to a virus You can get free adware removing program by going to security.kolla.de/ to download the program This scans for adware and removes anything thats harmful to your computer After you install the program download all the updates before you scan for any adware, after you scan you will be able to remove anything found.
