My question is in 2 parts. While attempting to upgrade my Radeon 9600 128 MB video card at the ATI website, I get two message prompts. The first message prompt reads:"Severe" INF ERROR VIDEO DRIVER NOT FOUND

I then click on okay button and another message prompt appears with the following: SETUP WAS UNABLE TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION TRY TO SETUP YOUR DISPLAY ADAPTER WITH STANDARD VGA DRIVER BEFORE RUNNING SETUP?

please tell me what steps I need to complete to get the download and upgrade my video card drivers, I just bought my widescreen laptop of 3300 bucks all to play a game that is really cool Command and Conquer/ Generals and the game locks up or just freezes during gameplay. Thanks guys, love your show! ED 'B"

You are most likely receiving this error message because you need to update your driver for the video card to run properly To fix this problem you will need to download and install a driver specifically created for this type of error Almost all Radeon type video cards seem to be experiencing the same problem You will be able to download the file at the following website http://www.ati.com/support/infobase/4299.html After the download has completed, make sure to reboot your computer for all the new changes to take place and then all should be well Good Luck!!
