My laptop speakers are fine I hear sound however when plugging in my JBL 2.1 creature speakers with subwoofer in to my audio jack on the side of my laptop, I get a very flat sound, with no base? I recently upgraded my video drivers from the gateway website, should I also look for sound driver updates too?

The supplement speaker system worked fine before the video driver update, wondering if the download caused me to loose my speaker output with the JBL's what should I check for?

again, the laptop bulit in speakers work fine, however using my high quality JBL speakers with subwoofer for better sound I get a flat sound from them, sounds like they are not at there full capicity

To whom it may concern:

It might be possible that your sound card does not support the JBL speakers that you are talking about

Only thing I can suggest trying is downloading the latest drivers for your sound card, install the drivers and see if it works If not you should call your laptops Manufacturer and find out what speakers are supported by your laptop.
