What is reinstall?

Friend uses Netscape browser with XP. For last 2 days, email is not usuable. The compose form fills with forward slashes instead of letters. Have you heard of anything that might be causeing this? I have been searching for these last 2 days looking for an answer for her.

Gwen, you may need to reinstall the software:

To add features from Microsoft Windows Update

Open Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel

Click Add New Programs, and then click Windows Update

Follow the instructions to locate and add new Windows features, system updates, and device drivers

Note

To open Add or Remove Programs, click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs
