my internet home page is being redirect to res://sqelm.dll/index.html#96676. how can I get rid of it. no matter how many times I change the web setting, it keeps coming back to this url. is this a spyware? I have ran spyware and adware products, but it does not change this url when I open up my internet explorer 6.0.

Make sure that you have the latest patches and updates from microsoft You should also have a anti virus installed

5 on the general tab; type in the url of the page you want use as your home page or use default.

Are the toolbars locked?

The toolbars are locked by default in Internet Explorer 6.

To lock or unlock the toolbar

Right-click the toolbar and then click Lock the Toolbars.

If a check mark appears next to this command, the toolbars are locked If no check mark appears, the toolbars are unlocked

Can you modify the toolbars after you unlock them?
