i had just bought this computer....everything is fine on it.

it's runs quick and everything.

so, i buy a new game ("City of Heroes"), and while playing it it randomly would reboot my machine. this would normally happen on new screen loads. by the way, this game is played in full-screen.

i thought i might have something to do with it being in sull-screen...but then this started happening:

i'll just be browsing a webpage, and my computer wil lreboot.

i'll be scrolling down a list of mp3's and it reboot's...

i'll load up a game, and it will just reboot.

i just formatted everything, and have ZERO prgorams on this computer....and it's already rebooted twice. i can't even install service pack 1 from windows....it keeps rebooting.

please please please please tell me someone out there knows how to save my life.

City of Heroes is one of the new games that needs a powerful computer to run smoothly because it has a very high system requirements Most gamers mistakes is that they tend to forget to upgrade their VIDEO CARD Driver Make sure to download the latest driver updates and see what happend.

Update your system

To update your system files using Windows Update

In Windows XP Home Edition, you must be logged on as a computer administrator to install components or modify Automatic Updates settings In Windows XP Professional, you must be logged on as an administrator or a member of the Administrators group If your computer is connected to a network, network policy settings might also prevent you from completing this procedure.

Windows Update is a catalog of items such as drivers, security fixes, critical updates, the latest Help files, and Internet products that you can download to keep your computer up-to-date.

Open Windows Update in Help and Support Center

On the Windows Update home page, click Scan for updates

Click Yes when prompted to install any required software or device drivers

Note

Windows Update scans your computer for outdated system files and lets you replace them with the most recent versions
