What is system restore?

i'm trying to define a new connecition to internet. first i choose new connection.... . at the end of the definition, after i click on finish button I get this 2 error message with the title Network Connections.

cannot write phonebook

error 624 : The system coul not update the phone book file.

i press OK and get other error :

The creation of the firewall failed with the following error:

* the parameter is incorrect/

This connection has been created,but does not have the firewall enabled.

I cant create a connection to internet....

if I missed/deleted files fron the system32/ras folder. how I can restore/get them again.

please help me!!!

You should roll your system back and undo any changes

1 click start; system tools; scroll down to system restore follow the wizard

2 right click on my network places; properties and make sure that you have the TCP/IP setting checked
