What is add remove programs?

1. I have both windows messenger and msn messenger 6.1 under all programs. I know windows messenger came with the computer but I don't remember the MSN messenger, can I delete one? I never use either.

2. I also have MSN explore and Internet explorer, they both were on the computer to start. Do I need both? I have never used the MSN Explorer.

No you you don't need all these programs it may be wise to delete one or all programs that you don't need, and customize your computer as you see fit
