Windows XP has a defualt view that may not be one you want to use to view content This can be changed fairly easily by making a few clicks with the mouse You can select the view that you want all folders to open in by checking out the steps below

Follow the steps below:

1 Open any folder and click the Views button

2 Then select the view that you want to apply

3 Choose the View tab

4 Under Folder views, click Apply to All Folders, and then click OK

The view you are using in the folder you just opened will be the new default view for all the folders you open Play around and see what view is best for your computing habits
