What is start menu?

every time i start my computer a screen is popping up like its trying to show a picture. I guess whats happening is its trying to open winexec32 with Windows picture and fax viewer, why is it doing that and how do i change it back to how its suppossed to go. Thanks.

You may need to customize your start menu

1 right click start menu; click properties; taskbar tab; customize and find the aplication and select hide always
