XP pro over home edition?

I plan to purchase another computer, but it comes with XP Home. I hae my own copy of XP Pro and want to install it on the new computer. Can I install the XP Pro over the factory installed XP Home, or must I reformat the hard drive first?

Hi, yes you can intall XP pro over home edition and you don't have to reformate the hard drive unless you want to have a dual boot
