Printers are the perfect companion for the avid web browser; but how often have you found yourself printing advertisements and disclaimers that you just don't need? There's a simple trick that will save you ink and paper, and it's built right into Windows

Follow the steps below:

1 Let's say you find some information you'd like to print on a web page Start by selecting the text and images that you want to print by left-clicking, and holding while you drag the mouse over the information you want

2 Once you're satisfied you have what you need selected, click File and then Print

3 A gray dialog box will appear Choose the Selection option.

*Not all printers support this function.

4 Finally, click Print.

Word on the street is that this may not work with certain versions of Netscape Navigator If that's the case you can always copy your selection and then paste into a word processor, where you can further edit it and then print

So, go ahead and save some trees, save money on expensive ink cartridges, and print with confidence
