Why does my screen starts to dim a green or yellowish color and then goes back to normal after a few minutes.

I was wondering if anyone would know why my screen starts to dim to a greener or a yellowish color then goes back to normal for a few minutes then it does it again, and now it does it everytime i am on my computer..Everything is new..

The problem could be that your computer is configured to go into standby or doze after a period of inactivity You can check to see if this is the case by right clicking your desktop, click properties, in the properties dialog box, click on the screen saver tab, if your monitor is Energy Star compliant, you will see the logo at the bottom of the window, click power and a Power options window will open, you can change your power options there In the case that this is not the problem you should contact the company where you bought your system and let them know that your having a problem with the connection between the monitor and the video card Since your computer is New the warranty is should still be in affect so they should be able to send you a replacement.
