Service Pack

When I have downloaded service packs from Microsoft and tried to install them, they all hang on creating restore point and go no further this includes SP2.

Have just upgraded to windows XP Professional and done a clean insta

Forget the Service Pack for a while Go into System information and see whether you have the earlier packs If you own the license to this copy of WIndows 2000, go to Microsoft Live Support and explain what's going wrong Assuming you didn't download the pack onto this computer, maybe the copy you made was flawed.
