Have a monitopr with speakers, now it does not work

I USED TO HAVE A MONITOR WITH SPEAKERS AND IT WORKED GREAT NOW IT DOSNT WORK SO I ADDED SPEAKERS TO SEE IF IT WAS THE MONITOR BUT HTEY STILL DONT WORK CAN U HELP ME OUT?

Hi, try to see if there is any directx files missing To do so do the following:verify that all DirectX files are installed

Click Start, and then click Run

In the Open box, type:

dxdiag

Click OK

Click the DirectX Files tab, and then look in the Notes box If all DirectX files are present and undamaged, the Notes box reports "No problems found"

If the diagnostic tool reports that any files are missing or damaged, install the latest version of DirectX from Windows Update To go to the Windows Update Web site, click Start, point to All Programs, and then click Windows Update.

if that doenst solve the problem try using the multimedia troubleshouter Follow these instructions:Click Start, and then click Help and Support.

Under Pick a Help Topic, click Fixing a problem.

In the left pane, click Games, sound, and video problems.

In the right pane, click Games and Multimedia Troubleshooter

Click the option that describes the problem that you are having, and then click Next.

Repeat step 1 until your problem is resolved or you have reached the end of the troubleshooting path You can click Back to repeat the last step or click Start Over to restart the troubleshooter.
