I performed a non destructive system recovery. The instructions said I would not lose any data I had stored. My system basically started over . I am missing all documents, media library, shared folders and more. How do I recover this information? Did I screw up?

Unfortunately you have just lost all of your information Usually when you do not see your information means it's not there anymore For futer reference what you want to do is take your harddrive out and put it into slave on another computer and retrieve all your information(backup) and then put your harddrive into your computer and do any configuration or recovery you want to do If your information is vital back it up

Sorry.
