i've read the thread about changing the screen saver password but it's still asking old password

Another dialogue box will open, asking for your current password and a new one. Once you confirm the new password press OK.

what should i do if i forgot old password??? since there is old, new, confirm dialog box... thanks!

If you are having problems remembering your password for your screensaver try doing the following:

Since you have Windows 98 go into DOS To go into DOS click on the"START" button, then click "RUN" Type in "cmd" and you will be in DOS

When in the DOS screen type in "edit control ini." & Enter Look for a line that says

"PWProtected=1" and change it so it says "PWProtected=0"

Try this and then go back retry changing the password.
