Why can’t I print a test page, but I can’t print any docs.

My printer won't print & keeps giving a message that on how to enable bidirectional but it is enabled. I reinstalled the printer and it even prints the test page etc. but won't print any docs. HELLLLLLPPPP!!!!!!

This question was answered on October 12, 2004. Much of the information contained herein may have changed since posting.


The reason you can print a test page and not a doc could be that the application is corrupt or you might have forgotten to select the proper printer driver from the application prior to sending the job to the printer This is done by selecting File Print and pressing the Setup tab, after which you select the printer's name from the drop down selection list by pressing the down arrow next to the printer's names

If you can print from another application, but not from this on application, consider reinstalling the application Remove an install the printer drivers and during installation verify that the printer is configured to print from that application.
