My video screen malfunctions on a random, intermittent basis. Only happens when on the 'Net. Chiefly, it occurs when viewing x.AVI or x.MPG files, but also happens when on the net for longer periods while only reading sites w/HTML.

As am viewing, my cursor becomes a small black box (~1x1 cm) and one occasionally sees a multi colored line at the extreme left margin of the screen which 'tracks' the cursor movements vertically. Infrequently, the cursor becomes a striped black box of same dimension which is rapidly followed by video instability with exagerrated flicker. Both lead to an extraordinarily difficult or unusable video interface.

During these faults, there are no 'lock-ups'. A hot-boot solves the problem, but it recurs more rapidly after successive re-boots. Further, using the tools menu to clear cookies, files (off-line as well), and history has no seeming effect.

No help thus far from Biostar or VIA. Have downloaded my driver(not an update) from both to my transfer file w/o installation 'til get sound advice.

No driver updates @ MS. My OS is up-to-date. Running IE 6.x, also up-to-date. Belarc Advisor finds no faults. Builder is likewise stumped.

Please advise, as have exhausted my capacity (solid-advanced user level).

Thanx - Bob

Your computer does no recognize those formats download the latest directX and video player

(by replacing and/or updating corrupted and/or incompatible system files) and is free from the Microsoft Web Site If the Microsoft Media Player can play these files, then CD-Runner will also play these files
