Why can’t I browse the Internet?

my internet connects when i try to open it but the actual window won't. it asks if i want to 'open or save' the file to my computer, no matter what page i try to start at. it connects to bellsouth, but i cannot get the window to open up.

You keep getting this Bellsouth page because one of the IE files is corrupted or missing Try repairing the IE file by doing the following;

1 Go to the Control Panel

2 Open up Add/Remove Programs

3 Select Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools

4 Click the Add/Remove button

5 Check Repair Internet Explorer

6 Click on the OK button

Once you have done the above go do the following to set a home page Like MSN.com or Yahoo.com

1 Click tools

2 Internet Options

3 Under Home Page, In the box next to Address Type: www.MSN.com or Yahoo.com.

Then try to browse the problem should be solved.
