When I open a program after my computer starts up the program will flash on the screen then close?

every time i open a program after my computer starts up the program will flash on the screen then close. i have no time to do anything.. i installed norton antivirus 2005 the night before this started, does this have anything to do with it? please help...

It looks like the problem is with the Norton antivirus you should try to uninstall it and run the applications, if the applications run with out any problem there is a conflict with the NA software Try reinstalling the NA There should be a feature that you can disable/enable that should fix the problem.
