In Outlook Express---under Local Folders-----overnight half of them were deleted?? Not by me?

I can't find them? I have my inbox, outbox, deleted box, drafts and personal folders thru the letter E------------F thru the end are gone. I had a lot of personal information and business information stored in those folders and I need them back. E Machines tech told me to restore the computer one day---------I did-------no good---then they told me to delete SP 2. I did and nothing---------------the Norton Recycled Bin says that it is protecting 1502 files in my computer. The dates on those files are 10/21 and 10/22 2004 which is the days my files disappeared. I can't tell by the names on these files what they are and do I need to try and recover every one of them to get my folders back?? I did a restore on a couple of them I can't tell that anything happened at all and when I go back in to the program it shows 1502 files and 0 have been restored??? This is just a mystery to me but I want those folders back if possible.

Can you help??

Is Outlook Express configured to display only unread messages?

If messages you have already read seem to be missing from a folder in Outlook Express, you might need to configure that folder not to hide messages after you read them.

To show all messages

Click the folder in which you are experiencing the problem

On the View menu, point to Current View, and then click Show All Messages

If more than one folder has the problem, repeat steps 1 and 2 for each affected folder
