Everytime I try going to a url address

It can not find the page also it does not put the address in the addresss bar until through.I tried adding the address bar but it still can not find the addresses.

I have tried it directly, from internet exployer desktop icon from startpage, also from the address bar.I have looked over the address clearly they are correct addresses. It has Internet exployer 5.5 on it now. I have no problem getting online or doing any activity that I do not need to go to URL addresses. In the error page it says it can not find the serveror LAN . I have taken to the shop

I was told to try Netscape Navigator.

But I wanted to stay with Internet Exployer if I can.

With IE5 there is a way to do a repair in case the installation has gotten corrupted.

1 Go to the Control Panel

2 Open up Add/Remove Programs

3 Select Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 and Internet Tools

5 Check Repair Internet Explorer

6 Click on the OK button
