What is remote assistance?

I used to assist my in-laws on their PC by using remote assistance. Ever since SP2 was installed on our systems we can no longer connect through MSN Messenger. Any suggestions?

You should check the time limits set for Remote assistance:

To set the maximum amount of time all Remote Assistance invitations can remain open

Open System in Control Panel

On the Remote tab, click Advanced

Under Invitations, select the time from the two lists
