My printer HP832C will not print portrait style, only landscape

My printer HP832C will not print portrait style, only landscape. I check the portrait style but end up w/landscape regardless of what I request. It happens when I go to "file" and pirnt and sometimes when I go to actual print when I attempt to print while on the web. For microsoft works (word processing) it will print as requested portrait or landscape.
