Those X icons are place holders for graphics that the system cannot read (maybe turned off in your computer because of security settings - for instance Active X, or Javascript) It is also possible that the pictures that were called in the particular Web page were not available at that time The webmaster should be made aware of your problem with a short e-mail message, and you might get a quick answer If you have some knowledge of the HTML language, while looking at the page with the X's, select View | Source from the menu You may be able to decipher what should appear in place of each X, usually a graphic If you are comfortable with security issues, you can take control over the level of security that is set for your computer and changes can be made in Tools | Internet Options | Security tab | Internet | Custom Level button This may be complex because of the broad choices available Handle this with care, keeping a record of the changes that you make.
