When I go into taskmanager (Windows XP) I often find 6 to 10 OESETUPS running, when I know I am not setting up anything. What might this be?

Windows XP has a cool configuration tool similar to Win98-ME that allows you to remove
startup programs by unchecking a couple of boxes
Click start->run Then type msconfig Click on the startup tab and uncheck anything
you don't want to automatically load on boot up.
The above should solve your problem.
Good Luck!
