When trying to download streaming audio from the internet, IE 5.50 pops up a File Download box (choose save to disk or start the requested program) requiring manual intervention to check the Start box before an audio player such a RealPlayer will run. I'm trying to automatically record an audio program, but can't when this File Download box keeps popping up requiring manual intervention.

I've tried setting the security level down to the lowest setting, checking the Don't Show This Again box on the File Download popup, enabling the Active X file download settings, etc. but nothing seems to overcome this popup box.

Thanks for your help.

Because windows ME does not support certain software it is advisable that you go to microsoft and download the latest upgrade and patches I see that you are still using ie 5.0, the latest upgrade is at 6.0 now; secondly you should really consider upgrading to windows XP at your earliest convience.

In fact i would suggest using the firefox browser, it's more secure and stable.
