DXT Compression texture not found

I just bought the game Nascar thunder 2004 and sucessfully installed it today. When I tried to play an error message came up that said that "DXT Compression texture is not found and needed. Go to technical support for further help." I have no idea what it is and what to do. I just got a new computer along with the game and meet all the requirements for the game. Please respond ASAP. Thank you for your assistance.
