Need to remove files in safe mode

i have windows me in my computer and the other day i started getting "error "messages on any program i tried to open. i did a virus scan and a adware scan with nothing showing up. when i shut down and rebooted windows would ony load part way and stop. the only way i can get

past this go in safe mode,but i cain't find anything wrong in safe mode. i have a lot of pictures i needs to get out and can i fix this problem without wiping out all data with a system restore?

can i tranfer the data to my other computer in safe mode(i have windows xp os in it)?

If you have a second computer that have windows XP you could use the File transfer and setting wizzard which will copy all the files and settings from another computer, all you have to do is conect both computer so they can be able to see ech other and run the wizzard.

you could also take the hard drive from the Win Me computer conect it as slave into the computer running XP and either copy the files directly from the hard drive (you would have to know where these files are located) or just run the wizzard and you are done.
