Video sometimes plays and sometimes does not. The sound is always there. It doesn't seem to matter if I use either Windows Media player or another type such as Winamp etc. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Media player and other various players but it never solves the problem.
Please advise how I can fix the problem.

Lower the hardware acceleration in the player Just go to Tools> options> performance and set the video acceleration slider to the halfway point.
