How do I get rid of Spyware?

My son used my computer and downloaded a music program. Now I have spyware on my computer that I can't seem to delete. I used Norton Internet Security 2005 and it correctly finds the files but when I click on delete, it only gets a couple of them and for the rest it simply says "Delete failed". How else can I delete these? I started in Control Panel, Add/Remove software, and even found them in WIndows Explorer and tried to delete them but was not successful. Any ideas? Thanks.

What you need is a Spyware removal software You can purchase these software programs at any computer store There are also free downloadable spyware programs that you can download in the internet by searching under "Spyware Removal"
