I have been trying to up date my windows media player to version 9 I saw you answer on how to update to version 7. I tried that with 9 but it did not give me the choice to uninstall the CD burner like on 7. Can this be done?

1 Start Internet Explorer

2 On the Tools menu, select Internet Options

3 On the General tab, in the Temporary Internet Files section, click Settings

4 Click View Objects

5 Right-click {33564D57-9980-0010-8000-00AA00389B71}, and then click Remove

6 Close the Downloaded Program Files window, click OK to close the Settings dialog box, and then click OK to close the Internet Options dialog box

7 Click Start, click Run, type the following command, and then click OK:

rundll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection c:\windows\inf\wmv9dmo.inf,Uninstall

The next time that Windows Media Player tries to play Windows Media Video 9 content, it will download the new Windows Media Video 9 codec.
