I believe my husband did change the resolution size, and I try to change the screen area pixel info to see if it helps with my 16 color problem, I hit apply, still no good. I restarted the computer countless times after hitting apply. So how do I change back what he cannot remember how he changed?

You need to go into the Device Manager and look in the Display Adapters sub-menu and determine what type of display adapter your computer has, then you need to download and install the drivers for it - preferably any updated ones.

Why do you have 2048 MB of RAM installed? Windows 98SE doesn't need more than 512 MB, and more RAM than that can actually cause problems.

Did you mean to say 16 color or 16-bit color? You say 16 color in your original post, then you say 16-bit color in your reply If your computer has 16-bit color, that's fine It doesn't need anymore than that.

Or If you have 16 colors at 640x480, you probably need to reinstall your display drivers...
