Is the PC Booster program good to install? I found it on the website that Data Doctors recommended to download adaware & spyware. So since it's on that website is it safe to download?? I'm having a problem of my computer freezing up while on the internet. Thanks, Paula

In my opinion, I think PC Booster is a good program to have They have a unique feature compared to other Windows Accelerator programs in that it offers a tune up function that finds what could be improved upon in your computer However, if you like do-it-yourself style, PC Booster also offers many tweaks you can adjust to customize Windows yourself.

As for your computer freezing up while on the internet, This problem can be caused by a number of things Here are some things you can try:

1 - Clean out any excess emails Having all you old messages can cause the computer to become bogged down and make it work harder

2 - Clean out your temporary internet files and history

3 - Run a Scandisk and Defrag Double-click on My Computer Inside My Computer, right-click on C: On the menu that pops up, click on Properties On the Properties window, click on the Tools tab The top button, labeled Check Now, will run Scandisk The third button, labeled Defragment Now, will run Defrag These can sometimes take a while, so please be patient

4 - Also, please keep in mind that with Windows, you should have at least 100MB of hard drive space free You can check this by Double-clicking on My Computer Inside My Computer, right-click on C: On the menu that pops up, click on Properties This screen will show you how much hard drive space you have left If it is less than 100MB you should clean out your hard drive to free up more space
