I installed a new video card last week and as part of the process, the software removes the old video drivers. Now there are two files in my recycle bin which are 181XW9X and NVHPML. I assume that these are the drivers for my old video which is integrated with the motherboard. Do I need to save these two files? If so, where can I put them instead of the recycle bin? If the new card goes bad and I want to return to my old setup, will I need the old drivers or will I be able to download them again from somewhere?

Just dump them Drivers are pretty easy to find on the net and there are always newer and better ones coming out anyway.
Your OS will use a generic driver if needed until you can find the right one.
