What Is The Best Way To Clean A 19" LCD Screen ?

I've had a 19"CRT Monitor for the past 7 years. I made up my own solution of 50% distilled water, 50% alcohol, 3 drops of Dawn in a spray bottle-32 ounce.

We also used it as an all purpose spray around the house. It works great !

However, I don't know if it's safe on a LCD Screen--The Scotts napkins leave no lint. ( I sprayed it on the napkin )

Thanks,

I have found that most things, even monitor cleaning wipes and alcohol, tend to leave smears and patches all over LCD screens.

The only thing I have found which does a superb job and leaves the screen without one smudge, smear or patch, is glasses cleaner spray and a glasses cleaning cloth (glasses = spectacles)

The spray bottles are available from most chemists and opticians, and so are the cleaning cloths, which are lint-free, of course, and very soft so as not to scratch.

DON'T spray any liquid directly on the screen Spray it on a clean soft cloth first, then wipe the screen with it.

LCD screens are much more fragile than CRT screens, so don't apply too much pressure.
