My computer shut down whilst using the internet last night. When I turned it on again, it loaded as per usual but when it came to the opening screen (where the icons and start menu is) there were no icons nor was there a taskbar or a start menu. When I left click on the mouse nothing happens and when I press the key that initiates the start menu nothing happens. The only way I can get into my programmes now is through the task manager. Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks

Craig

I ran into this same or simular problem a few years back Use your TASK MANAGER.

Click FILE - NEW TASK

Type in this addrerss

C:\WINNT\System32\dfrg.msc

and press enter You will see what to do from there

I hope you have the same success that I did.

Good Luck,
