I have a new computer with a new service to cox. I keep getting this error message.

Error Line 13

"SymRealWinOpen" is undefined.

It appears each time I enter a new site on the internet but interestingly did not appear when I pulled up your home page. It asks me if I want to deconflict but will not perform that function when I ask it to. It is maddening as the error warning is constantly appearing. I enlisted some help to try to resolve the problem and it was gone for a while but when I turned the computer off during an absence it is back with me when I turned it back on.

I do not know where to start and do not pretend to be a comuputer knowledgeable person but I do need some help please.

Thanks

Gary

If you're receiving popup dialogs reporting that 'SymRealWinOpen' is undefined you're experiencing the effects of Symantec's NIS (Norton Internet Security) Popup and Ad Blocking software NIS automatically changes some of your Internet Options and when it sees a webpage containing key bits of HTML code, it substitutes in some dummy code to prevent ads and popups This code then fails and because it's also changed your Internet Options, you get a popup notification

You can easily fix this by selecting (in InternetExplorer toolbar above) Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab > then check the box next to 'Disable script debugging' (usually 4th listing under Browsing), then click Apply and OK.
