I am using Windows ME. I have a problem with my dialup box freezing when trying to dial my ISP. It is imtermittent. I can disconnect and retry; sometimes it dials, sometimes it doesn't. Eventually after several tries I usually can get a connection, but not always. Sometimes I get a connection immediately. This event is sometimes accompanied by the BSOD with the following error message: 0028:C0030D40 in VxD called by 0028:C002F285 in VxD. I ran this error message on Google and there was five complaints with the same problem, however no one could solve it. Also, no help from Microsoft with the error message. Can any of you experts solve this one!

Thanks for your help!

If using the Internet Explorer 6.0, attempt to remove Microsoft Internet Explorer throughout the Add/Remove Programs in the Control Panel You will be given an option to Repair the Internet Explorer Select that option and follow instructions on screen to repair the explorer Restart the computer upon completion.

If that does not resolve the issue, download and run Hijackthis:

Also let me know how much RAM is installed in the computer as well as the amount of resources available Offline.
