Machine freezes every time i run a game in full screen mode

My machine freezes every time i run a game in full screen mode. Also it freezes when i run dxdiag Direct3d test. I have the latest drivers for my graphics Card (geforce FX 5200) and for the motherboard.

Check to see if your current configuration can run the game being played

Update your video card drivers

Fiddle with the game's video options to run with less detailed graphics

Make sure your O/S can run the game

Other reasons for a game not being able to run are:

LCD or flat panel screens may not run certain games that use certain colours

You have a burned or illegal copy of the game or O/S

Your machine cannot run the game being played because your system is too old

Hardware/software conflict; the game does not support your current set-up
