With the amount of time I spend on my computer every day, I’m always looking for shortcuts This week I’ll show you a way to skim a couple seconds off of the pesky email attachment process; and of course, look cool in the process This tip has only been confirmed to work with Outlook, Outlook Express, and Netscape Messenger; but it may work with some other third-party email programs like Eudora I'm afraid you web-based email users - such as hotmail, yahoo, etc - are confined to more conventional methods.

Follow the steps below:

1 Open your email program and compose a new message.

2 Fill out the usual information and type whatever you like in the body of the email.

3 Now open My Documents or My Computer (wherever the file you wish to attach is) and simply left-click, hold, and drag it to the body of your email.

It’s as simple as that If you’re using a non-standard email program and this isn’t working, you can try dragging the file to the subject line instead of the body
