I'm thinking of getting a new Video card given that the one i've got now isn't up to it on Far cry(ATI9200,though doom3 works fine!)but its all a bit confusing.Like how does a 9600XT compare with a basic 9800, or which Nvidea based one is equiv. Basically i need help.

Which one should I get given the following.

$200-$250 Budget.

I dont want to start messing with fancy power supplies and such.

Thanks.

The best card you can get in that price range is Radeon 9800 pro http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-268&depa=1 Its out of stock, should be back in stock in about a week

If you can stretch a little bit more for 270$ you can get a much better card a Geforce 6800 But you MAY run into problems with your PSU http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-150-068&depa=1

Little bit under your price range but still a good card a Geforce FX5900XT Best bang for your buck http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-164-018&depa=1

These are the best cards in a price range of 170-270$
