I really could use some help in finding the culprit causing my random restarts, and blue screens. Part of the problem seems to be a driver (driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL), but which one. I have cleared virus, and spyware so machine is now clean. Reinstalled factory software from restore CD. Thanks for your help.

Tracking this down can be a hard slog but sometimes the parameters given in the error message can help Scroll down the system logs in Control Panel>Administrative Tools>Event Viewer to find the log that says "the system has rebooted from a serious error" and post back the full details Also, go into Dervice Manager and check to see there are no question marks against any items Go to the Display Adapter and click on Update Driver, preferably while you're online How frequently is this happening? If it's every ten minutes, reboot in Safe Mode and see how long you remain on If you can last an hour, the driver you're seeking is one that doesn't get loaded in Safe Mode.
