How can I fix the "winmgmt" program error?

I'm getting a winmgmt program error. On startup and then about every 90 seconds I get the following popup error message:

Winmgmt.exe generated errors and will be closed by windows. You will neeto restart the program.

Restarting system does not solve the problem.

I noticed that I do not have a winmgmt.dll file.

How do I resolve this?

Go to control panel>>administrative tools>>services and then find windows management You should have 2 The one that starts automatically right click on and stop it Reboot your computer and see if that takes care of it I had this happen once and I think I ended up making both of them a manual start to get it to straighten out Good Luck!
