My friend got some sort of virus on her computer and it made a weird beep/screech on her speakers. She recorded the sound on her computer and sent the file to me to listen. Stupid me. I got the virus too and I dont know what it is or how to stop it. I tried 2 different virus scans, 2 different spyware scans and I still get the beep. I also think this bug is causing my computer to SLIGHTLY slow down. It could be AIM related since I got some Instant Messeges saying to click on some random link. What's causing this and how can I fix it? Thanks.

This is where you went wrong.. you should never open up some random link that you get from an instant message. that is the most common way to send a virus is through email and instand messages It may not even be a virus.

here are a couple of different solutions you can try:

1 check your motherboard manual it could be an overheating problem

2 Take a look in your BIOS for hardware monitoring and check the alarms for

fan speeds and temps, might be a sign that you need to make adjustments to

something.
